How are your baskets measured?

A. How are your basket measurements taken?

Please refer to the product description for the dimensions of each item. All measurements are provided in centimetres (cm) and are based on the external (outside) dimensions of the basket, tray or product.

Depending on the shape of the item, dimensions may be listed as:

• Length × Width × Height (L × W × H)

• Diameter × Height (D × H) for round products

• Outside Diameter × Height where applicable

Where products include handles, wheels or lids, additional measurements may be provided separately.

As our products are handcrafted from natural materials, slight variations in size, shape, colour and weave may occur. Dimensions may vary by approximately 2–5cm, depending on the product and weaving technique.

If you require exact measurements for a specific purpose, please contact us before placing your order and we will gladly assist.

Which size basket should I choose?

A.The right basket size will depend on how you plan to use it. For storage, we recommend measuring the space where the basket will be used and comparing it to the external dimensions listed on the product page.

If you're using a basket as a planter cover, choose a basket that is slightly larger than your plant pot. For example, if your pot measures 17cm in diameter, we recommend selecting a basket with an internal opening of at least 18–20cm, depending on the shape of the pot and plant.

All measurements provided on our website are based on the basket's external (outside) dimensions. If you're unsure which size is best for your needs, please contact us and we'll be happy to assist.

Are your baskets handmade?

Yes. Our baskets are handcrafted by skilled artisans using natural materials such as rattan, water hyacinth, seagrass, grass and palm leaf. Because each item is handmade, slight variations in size, colour, weave and shape are normal and part of the unique character of every piece.

Why do the colour and size vary slightly from the photos?


Our products are handcrafted from natural materials, which means no two pieces are exactly alike. Slight variations in colour, weave, texture and dimensions are normal and form part of the beauty and authenticity of handmade products.

Are your baskets suitable for outdoor use?

A.Most of our baskets are designed for indoor or covered outdoor use. Prolonged exposure to rain, direct sunlight and moisture may affect the colour and lifespan of natural materials. We recommend placing baskets in sheltered areas where possible.

Can I use a basket as a planter cover?

A.Many of our baskets are used as decorative planter covers as well as for storage and home organisation.

Only our Black Bottom Planter Baskets are lined with plastic. For all other baskets, we recommend placing your plant in a waterproof pot or container before placing it inside the basket. A drip tray is also recommended to protect both the basket and your floors or furniture.

To prolong the life of your basket, always remove the plant from the basket before watering and allow excess water to drain completely before returning it to the basket.
